Spectators return to Neumann sports

Neumann University Athletics and Recreation Department is attempting to bring back a sense of normality in this mixed-up pandemic. This department, with the approval of the Atlantic East Conference, has begun bringing back spectators.

Following Atlantic East Conference spectator guidelines, the athletic department put into effect the following rules for attendance as of March 12.

  • Each team will receive a guest list the day before their home contest.
  • The head coach is responsible to see that the guest list is completed and returned to the assigned game day manager by 7 p.m. the night before the game.
  • Student-athletes and coaching staff members will each be permitted to have two spectators in attendance.
  • Spectators must show photo ID at the check in table.
  • One hour prior to game time the game day manager will open the venue to spectators.

All of the spectators must complete the Neuman University Health Check Form and present it upon entrance, stay socially distant (family members may sit together), and wear masks.

These rules are for outdoor sports only, according to Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Campus Recreation David Deal. However, two guests are allowed for senior nights in every sport.
