Best Ways to Shop for Fall/Winter

We all know that winter and fall are coming fast. Now is a great time to start shopping for your favorite fall decorations and clothing.

For clothing, thrifting is the best way to do it. We all know that around this time, college students are struggling to work on a budget for their clothing and essential items for the fall season.

Thrifting gives people an opportunity to get super cute clothing at a decent price while surviving on a budget, especially if they target local thrift shops.

If you want to shop for fall decorations, it is recommended that you go to the local dollar store. The dollar store always has cute and festive decorations for the season. They come at a good price as well.

College students report that thrifting has really helped with their college life. Megan Foody says, “I usually have a successful experience thrifting. It takes a bit longer than shopping regularly because I have to do a quality check (make sure there’s no stains, ripped seams, broken zippers, etc.). I have gotten a lot of my wardrobe from thrift stores and a lot of times there are really nice brands and sometimes even the original tags on them.”

She adds that “Another way to save money is to bring old clothes to the thrift stores and they’ll give you money for them. Sometimes I do that and then whatever money I get from that is my budget for the day. It’s like recycling my clothes so it’s fun.”

Another student, Tayonni Brown, said, “Thrifting has been such a big part of my college experience. I get a daily budget of $50 dollars to spend on clothing and I always go to my local thrift shop near campus and get the cutest things for under that budget. The most I have ever spent was probably $30 dollars at the thrift store.”

Thrifting is a great way to shop for clothing and decorations for the fall and winter season.
