Knights Cafe needs better hours

The Knights Cafe, I remember, was open every day. It was one of the most social and convenient places to eat. Starting this year, it is closed on Fridays.

Knights hours have also changed. It is now open from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. even though students have been complaining that they need service at 8 and 9 a.m. as well.

“I have an 8 a.m. and I used to get coffee from Knights every morning. It was a part of my morning routine,” said Kailyn Jhonson.

Not to mention, Knights doesn’t have Starbucks drinks anymore.

Knights Cafe is convenient for students who have classes in the Bachmann building. The new hours can cause more students who have classes back-to-back to skip or be late because they haven’t eaten and want to grab a bite.

“We only have 10 minutes to make it to our next classes and the line for Knights every day is wrapped around the hall,” said Janyah Murphy.

College isn’t cheap and a meal plan is required for on-campus students. Parents and students are spending a large amount of money for a meal plan that is now harder to use daily.

Students need to be heard on this issue.
