After the addition of a women’s flag football team, Neumann isn’t stopping there.
In the fall of 2025, Neumann University will look to add a male counterpart football team.
It should be noted that this idea is still early in the works and not every detail is 100% confirmed.
A coach has not yet been selected, but the university intends to have one by the start of the summer, so that team tryouts can be held.
There are several team tryouts expected to take place over the summer months. Tryouts will be open to any student enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year.
“I already know I’m gonna be wide receiver one. Nobody on this campus is guarding me”, says eager sophomore Cam Smith.
If you are interested, I’d recommend keeping up with Neumann athletics’ social media accounts, as they would most likely post details when they are finalized.
When it comes to the season, it should be starting in early September.
Being that Neumann would be the only Atlantic East school to have a men’s football team, they will be joining the Centennial conference.
The Centennial conference is a relatively local conference consisting of other division 3 schools.
The conference is made up of:

Johns Hopkins University
Ursinus College
Muhlenberg College
Franklin & Marshall College
Dickinson College
Gettysburg College
McDaniel College
This would become yet another accomplishment in the athletics world that Neumann can boast about, already announcing an on-campus hockey rink and the recent addition of a women’s flag football team.
Adding a men’s football team will be yet another great way to further establish a close-knit knight community.
“As a football fan, I am so excited to cheer on my university’s team”, says junior John Bellucci. “I always loved going to football games in high school and I hope we can have that same kind of vibe here”, he continued.
“I’m gonna be in that student section every game. I’m already thinking about painting my chest”, says junior Mark Vaughn.
Needless to say, Neumann is very excited for the upcoming inaugural season. Get ready to witness history. This will be fun!
And the craziest part about it all?
The Neumann University men’s football team is a total fabrication. Nothing but lies. Every detail. Not a single person, place, or thing is real and yet you read it all.
You should’ve known better.
April fools!
